ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES
UPH Conservatory of Music
The applicant must have applied to UPH general admission before schedule audition for music department.
A. For applicants who take a test at UPH:
- Music Placement Test (music theory and solfegio - Introduction)
Multiple-choice test (50 questions: 15 solfegio + 35 music theory ) Solfegio -> Identify interval; chords; melody and rhythm. Music Theory -> Not value; Measure & Meter; Key signatures & Scales; Scale degree; Interval; Musical term & sign.
- Submit complete addition application form.
- Audition
- Applicants may be asked to perform three contrasting that represent their performing abilities.
- Etude (technical works).
- Sight singing/reading.
- Interview with head concentration
- Submit Reccomendation Form
B. For applicants who take a test in other cities:

- Submit a video cassette recording that contains:
i. Three Constrasting Pieces ii. Special requirements for Professional Contemporary Music Concentration: a) Play one solo piece with your respective instrument. b) Play two pieces with a band in any of these music styles (Jazz, Latin, and Rock).
- A good DVD/VCD quality.
- Video recording for audition and not video recording from any live performances.
- Submit a short essay (500 words) about your reason to study one of music concentration in UPH Conservatory of Music.
- Submit Recommendation Letter
Addition requirements for Church Music Concentration:
- Please submit a personal testimony about your reason and desire to serve God with music.
- Recommendation from Church's Pastor and two others people from Church who have no relative relationships with the applicant.
Addition requirements for Composition Concentration:
- Submit one or more your music composition (Audio or score).
